Influence of Substrates on the Quality of Hermetia Meal for Fish Meal Substitution in Nile Tilapia Oreochromis niloticus

چکیده
Commercially produced black soldier flies (Hermetia illucens) represent a promising fish meal substitute, particularly in the context of using agricultural by-products and waste. Here, culture Hermetia maggots on five selected substrates (potato protein (P) as by-product starch production, rapeseed oil cake (R) from rape maize silage (M), soybean (S) and, control, concentrated chicken feed (C)) were evaluated, assessing growth performance related to overall production nutritional composition respective meal. Subsequently, their use ingredients aquafeed formulations was evaluated feeding trial with juvenile Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus, fish. Substrates used for significantly affected development maggots, revealing substantial differences quality. Still, if incorporated isonitrogenous isocaloric diets (33% crude protein, 21–22 MJ/kg) replacing 75% fishmeal formulated diets, no significant observed compared control. As conclusion, clearly affect yield maggots. Nevertheless, this can be compensated by formulation demonstrated trial.

Replacement of fish meal by plant protein sources in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) diet: growth performance and utilization
The nutritional suitability and cost effectiveness of rice polish and mustard oil cake as protein sources in the diet of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) were studied. This study introduced rice polish as a plant protein source for Nile tilapia and three diets were formulated using rice polish (0, 10 and 20%) and mustard oil cake (10.0, 17.6 and 22.0%) for a feeding trail of eight weeks to ...

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of substituting the dietary fish meal with blood powder on some blood immune factors of Nile tilapia. 150 speciemns of tilapia (30 ± 0.5 g) were fed diets containing 0 (control group), 25, 50, 75, and 100 % of blood powder, each in three replicates for 8 weeks. After this period, fish were anesthetized and the blood samples were taken from the ca...

In this study, the influence of different treatments was evaluated: nonwashing, washing in chlorinated water and washing/soaking in chlorinated water and sodium chloride on the quality of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fillets during storage at 1.0 ± 0.5°C through daily analysis of pH, moisture, and lipids content. Microbiological analysis and growth modeling for mesophilic and psychrotro...
متن کاملImpact of replacing fish meal by a mixture of different plant protein sources on the growth performance in Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus L.) diets.
The present study aimed to assess the appropriate level of replacement of fish meal (FM) with alternative plant sources in the feed fed to Oreochromis niloticus to evaluate the growth performance. Three isoproteinious (40% crude protein) diets were prepared from different ingredients viz., fish meal, corn gluten meal, wheat gluten meal, and bagasse kenna meal. O. niloticus showed a maximum incr...

Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (65.2±2.2 g) were randomly distributed into 12 glass aquaria to represent 4 treatments (3 replicates per treatment). Fish were exposed to cadmium chloride at concentrations of 0.0 (control), 0.05 (T1), 0.10 (T2) and 0.15 mg L -1 (T3) for 4 weeks. After the first, third and fourth week, fish were immediately anesthetized and blood was collected. Fish weight wa...
